Sharon Yvonne Stone is the only daughter of Dorothy Lawson (an accountant) and Joseph William Stone II, an engineer and tool maker. She was also a employee of a plant. Her birth date was 10 March 1958, at Meadville Pennsylvania. Michael, Kelly and Patrick are her siblings. Stone began second grade in kindergarten at age five. Saegertown Senior High School, Saegertown Pennsylvania, was where she earned her diploma in 1975. She was crowned Miss Crawford County, she also participated in the Miss Pennsylvania Beauty Pageant. Stone moved to New Jersey with her aunt New Jersey, where she pursued a career in modeling. In the following month, Stone signed up at the Ford Modeling Agency. After a year spent in Milan and Paris and then moving to Europe. Stone was however dissatisfied in Europe by the fashion industry, and decided to venture into acting. In her 20s, she starred in Woody Allen's film "Stardust Memories" with mixed receptions.
